An innovative Lloyd’s broker sitting in their dynamic and growing Broking team as a Delegated Authority Technician.
Key Responsibilities of the Delegated Authority Technican Role
- Complete ongoing due diligence of Coverholders and Delegated Authority arrangements on behalf of the DA team. Receive and record requests for due diligence from stakeholders.
- Coverholder Application process; We have a number of firms who are going through the process of carrier due diligence, some as Lloyd’s Coverholders, however a greater number are undergoing non Lloyd’s MGA due diligence checks
- Work with stakeholders providing technical feedback relevant to new, renewing and amendments to existing DA agreements, advising on recommending revisions to wordings &/or clauses, addressing jurisdictional &/or regulatory amendments;
- Prepare submissions via Insurers Market Repository, including the loading up of all placing documentation, post placing activity and Bordereau submissions, creating work packages and monitor/record subsequent signing activity
- Represent DUA when participating in internal meetings/working Groups/external stakeholder meetings
- Maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders; Lloyds, Regulators, Brokers, Coverholders & Market Peers, identifying potential or actual issues that may adversely affect the business
Key Skills Required
- 2+ years experience within a Delegated Authority / Delegated Underwriting role within a Lloyd’s Broker / Insurer / MGA / Underwriters
- Up to date knowledge of regulatory environment of Delegated Authority
- Knowledge of Lloyd’s and London Markets
